About the Instructor
Urasenke-trained since 2010. Certified assistant instructor.
I started GreenTeaTokyo because I wanted to make tea ceremony genuinely accessible — not intimidating, not just for specialists. The focus is always on making sure every participant leaves having actually done something, not just observed it.
I’ve run sessions at corporate events, luxury hotels, and international gatherings across Tokyo — from small VIP groups to conferences with over 100 attendees.

Q. Do participants need to speak Japanese?
A. No. English instruction is included throughout the session. We’ve run many sessions for fully international groups.
Q. Do we need a special room or Japanese-style space?
A. No. A standard conference room works perfectly. Tables and chairs are all we need from your side — we bring everything else.
Q. Do you need parking or a loading bay at our building?
A. No. Our instructor travels by train with a single carry-on suitcase. No vehicle access needed.
Q. How much notice do you need?
A. We recommend booking at least 10 days in advance. Rush bookings within a week are possible with a surcharge — get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
Q. Can you issue a formal invoice for corporate expense processing?
A. Yes. We issue quotations, invoices, and receipts in English or Japanese. Invoice payment is accepted for corporate clients.
Q. What’s the minimum and maximum group size?
A. From 1 person up to 20 simultaneously. For larger groups we add instructors or run multiple rounds.
Q. What are the cancellation terms?
