“We’d love to include a tea ceremony, but we just don’t have the time.” If that sounds familiar, our mobile tea ceremony experience — available from just 30 minutes — is the answer.
We bring the instructor and all equipment directly to your venue — hotel meeting rooms, corporate lounges, event spaces, and more. Including setup and cleanup, the entire visit takes around 60 to 90 minutes, making it easy to fit into a packed VIP itinerary or slot between corporate sessions.
This page covers everything corporate planners and hotel staff need to know: how it works, what’s included, pricing, and how to book.

① Why 30 Minutes Is Enough
A traditional tea ceremony class typically runs one to two hours, with a focus on learning etiquette step by step. Our mobile experience is different — by concentrating on the essence of the practice, we deliver a genuinely satisfying experience in a fraction of the time.
The instructor handles all preparation in advance, so guests can start the hands-on experience as soon as they arrive. Rather than memorising formal rules, the focus is on the feeling of whisking matcha and the calm of a Japanese cultural moment — making the most of every minute.
- Instructor brings all equipment (matcha, sweets, tea bowls, whisk, and more)
- Full setup and cleanup handled by the instructor
- Etiquette explanation and hands-on practice condensed into a compact format
- Programme adapted to group size and purpose
Estimated time: 30-minute experience + approx. 30 minutes for setup and cleanup = around 60 to 90 minutes in total.
② Common Use Cases
Here are the situations where our 30-minute tea ceremony experience is most frequently requested.
🏨 VIP Welcome at Hotels & Venues
A memorable welcome for senior executives, dignitaries, and international guests. Works as a sophisticated alternative to a welcome drink — offered in a meeting room or reception lounge upon arrival. Hotel staff simply need to provide the space and a table.
🏢 Corporate Training & Company Events
Increasingly popular as an icebreaker between training sessions or at company social events. Many organisations use it as a team-building moment — breaking down the idea that tea ceremony is difficult or formal.
🌏 Inbound Tourism & International Guest Programmes
Demand from visitors to Tokyo looking for authentic Japanese cultural experiences continues to grow. We regularly work with hotels and tour operators on inbound programmes. English-speaking staff can be arranged (see below).
🎉 Client Entertainment & Special Occasions
A distinctive touch for client entertaining or milestone celebrations. Adding a Japanese cultural element creates a lasting impression that sets the occasion apart.

⑥ FAQ
Q. Does the venue need any special facilities?
A. Tables and chairs are all you need. There’s no requirement for a tatami room. We’ve run sessions in hotel meeting rooms, corporate conference rooms, event spaces, and more.
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum group size?
A. There’s no minimum. The travel fee is fixed, so it applies whether you have one guest or many. For groups of 20 or more, we recommend adding an additional instructor — the upper limit depends on your venue size.
Q. Can the experience be customised?
A. Yes. We also offer combined packages with origami and calligraphy experiences. If you have specific requests around themes or timing, please get in touch.
Q. Can it be held outdoors?
A. We generally recommend indoor venues. Outdoor sessions depend on weather and available facilities — please contact us to discuss.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Full details will be provided at the time of enquiry. Late cancellations may be subject to charges in line with the last-minute booking surcharge structure above.
