🍵 Basic Information

Q. What can guests experience?

A. Guests prepare their own matcha with guidance. If you prefer the instructor to prepare the tea, please let us know.

Q. What’s the minimum group size?

A. We accept bookings starting from 1 person. Small groups are welcome.

Q. What’s the maximum group size?

A. Up to 20 people can participate simultaneously. For larger groups, we can split into multiple sessions or add instructors.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Approximately 1 hour including setup and cleanup. Duration varies based on group size and content.

Q. Is it okay if I’ve never done tea ceremony before?

A. Absolutely! Most participants are beginners. No prior knowledge of etiquette is required.

Q. Is kneeling (seiza) required?

A. No. We use tables and chairs, so kneeling is not necessary.

Q. Can children participate?

A. Yes. There’s no age restriction. Both children and adults can enjoy the experience.

Q. Do you have regular holidays?

A. We operate year-round with no regular holidays.

📋 Plans & Options

Q. Is English instruction available?

A. Yes. English-speaking staff is available as an add-on (+¥13,000〜).

Q. What if most of my guests are international visitors?

A. No problem. We provide instruction in English and have extensive experience with international VIP hospitality and inbound tourism.

Q. Can I book origami experience only?

A. Yes. We offer origami-only sessions. See our Origami Experience page.

Q. What can we write in calligraphy experience?

A. Guests can choose their favorite kanji characters, mottos, names, etc. The instructor provides examples and careful guidance.

Q. How long for matcha + origami/calligraphy combo?

A. Approximately 2 hours. Duration varies based on group size and content.

Q. Do I need an iron kettle or red carpet?

A. No, they’re optional. Add them (kettle ¥11,000, carpet ¥5,500 + shipping) only if you want a more authentic atmosphere.

Q. Can we do this on a recurring basis?

A. Yes. We offer regular monthly sessions and volume discounts. Please inquire for details.

💰 Pricing & Payment

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Service fee ¥38,000〜 + Experience fee ¥3,800〜 per person (tax included). See our Pricing page for details.

Q. What’s included in the price?

A. Experience fee, instruction, matcha, Japanese sweets, and all tea utensils.

Q. Do you accept invoice payment?

A. Yes. We support invoice payment for corporate clients. Credit card and bank transfer are also available.

Q. Can you provide a quote?

A. Yes. We can provide estimates even if details aren’t finalized.

Q. When are receipts issued?

A. Immediately after payment confirmation. Please indicate if you need a receipt in your request.

Q. Are you qualified invoice issuers (for consumption tax)?

📅 Booking & Cancellation

Q. How do I make a booking?

A. Via our contact form or email.

Q. How far in advance should I book?

A. Please book at least 10 days in advance. Bookings less than 1 week before incur rush fees.

Q. Do you accept same-day bookings?

A. Depending on time and location, yes (with 100% rush fee). Please inquire.

Q. Can I change my booking?

A. Changes must be requested at least 10 days in advance via email, including your original booking details and new preferred date.

Q. What are the cancellation fees?

A. Cancellation fees:

  • 7+ days before: Free
  • 6-3 days before: 20%
  • 2 days-1 day before: 50%
  • Same day: 100%

Q. What happens after I submit a booking?

A. We’ll send payment instructions. Your booking is confirmed once payment is complete.

🏢 Venue & Preparation

Q. Where do you travel to?

A. Primarily Tokyo 23 wards. Areas outside Tokyo 23 wards (Kanto region) incur additional travel fees (¥6,600〜).

Q. Can you arrange the venue?

A. No. Please arrange your own venue. We can visit hotels, offices, event spaces, etc.

Q. How much space is needed?

A. A conference table (approx. 100cm × 70cm × 70cm). Guest seating requires separate space.

Q. What should guests bring?

A. Nothing. We provide all necessary equipment.

Q. Is there a dress code?

A. No. Guests may wear any comfortable clothing.

📦 Tea Utensil Rentals

Q. Does rental include matcha?

A. No. Matcha and sweets must be provided by you. This is a utensils-only rental service.

Q. What’s the minimum rental quantity?

A. Starting from 1 set. Tea bowl and whisk sets available for up to 20 people.

Q. Does an instructor come on the day?

A. No. This is utensil rental only. For instruction, please book our on-site tea experience.

Q. When should items be returned?

A. Hand to courier by midnight on the 3rd day after last use date.

Q. Can I rent long-term?

A. Yes. We accommodate rentals of 1 week or longer. Terms are negotiable based on your needs. Please inquire.
