This is an experience where you can explore Japan’s unique writing culture using brush and ink. The instructor will write a model example and provide careful guidance.

After practicing on calligraphy paper, you will create a final piece on decorative board paper to take home as your artwork. Perfect for entertaining overseas guests and corporate events.

We travel to hotels, corporate offices, and event venues within Tokyo. All necessary tools such as brushes, ink, inkstones, calligraphy paper, and decorative board paper are brought by the instructor.

You are free to choose your favorite kanji, motto, or name—any characters you would like to write.

Experience Flow

Step 1: Choose your characters & model writing

Decide which characters you would like to write, and the instructor will create a model example on the spot. Kanji, words, names—anything is welcome.

Step 2: Practice on calligraphy paper

Practice as many times as you like on calligraphy paper while looking at the model. The instructor will carefully support you with brush technique and stroke order.

Step 3: Final writing on decorative board paper

Create your final piece on decorative board paper. Your artwork is now complete and ready to take home.
